Thanksgiving Prayers – Psalm 136: 1-3
Oh, give thanks unto the Lord. For he is good: for his
mercy endureth forever. Oh, give thanks unto the
God of gods: For his mercy endureth forever. Oh,
give thanks to the Lord of lords: For his mercy
endureth forever. I fall on my knees when
remembering where You picked me up from. Father,
there was fear as I reached out; no one heard me
but You. Your light flooded that room as I waited, and
you showed up. Losing my memory when just
minutes before I taught Your word. Oh! I was lost, so
lost, then I heard your voice, Fear not; for I am with
thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God. I will
strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; I waited for
You. I had called out for you all day long, not knowing
what to do, where I was, how I got there, what is
going to happen to me? Your words came to me. The
Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. You stayed on
my mind even though I did not know many things at
that time. You rescued me, Father, and I give you all
the glory, honor, and praise in the mighty name of
Jesus Christ. Your presence brought back my mind,
my abilities, and the strength to get back in the place
you created me to succeed in. Amen
Struggling in your mind – Is 26:3
Lord, you said that you wilt keep me in perfect
peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because I
trusteth in thee. Lord, I thank you for giving me the
Holy Spirit so that I might realize, comprehend, and
appreciate the gifts of divine favor and blessings given
freely to me from the Lord Jesus Christ. You have
helped me to let go of carnal-minded thinking that
leads to death in exchange for a spiritually minded life
of peace. I am reminded not to be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of my
mind. God, you want me to live presenting my body
as a living sacrifice, standing on what is that good,
acceptable, and perfect will of You. Help me, my
father, to think soberly according as You have dealt to
every man the measure of faith. The glory and
majesty of you says you haven’t given me the spirit
of fear, but of power, love, and a strong mind. I know I
am saved by you, my KING, my GOD, my redeemer!
Amen
Prayer of Repentance – Psalm 51:10-12
Have mercy upon me, Oh God, according to your
loving kindness: According unto the multitude of
your tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Oh
God, I need cleansing with your living waters. Wash
me thoroughly from all my iniquity, and cleanse me
from my sins, wrongdoings, those things that are not
a part of righteous living. Create in me a clean heart
O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me
not away from your presence and take not Your Holy
Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your
Salvation and uphold me thy free spirit. I come to
You Father with my head covered because of my
guilty deeds, Paul talks about the thing he hates
doing. This ugliness that causes me to stink myself,
And knowing how I smell around others, you always
Instructed the Israelites to wash before coming into
your presence, not just wash themselves, but their
clothes as well. I do need purification from the holy
God of Israel. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be
clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me Father, to hear joy and gladness. Please
Lord, forgive me, teach me your ways,
I shut down all spirits that have come against me,
denouncing all control over me. Choosing to walk in
victory, Your words say, “Go and cry in the ears of
Jerusalem, saying, Thus says the Lord: I [earnestly]
remember the kindness and devotion of your youth,
your love after your betrothal [in Egypt] and marriage
[at Sinai] when you followed Me in the wilderness, in
a land not sown.” I must turn back to you, Father,
because your word says if my people who are called
by my name would humble themselves and pray, and
seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I
will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their
land. I am choosing you, Oh Lord, as my Lord and
savior. Amen
